Greetings from Eben’s Assistant

Hello, and welcome to the new I’m Eben’s assistant, Dara, and I’ll be keeping you up to date on some of the great events Eben has planned and giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the ways he is sharing his message.

This week, Eben is speaking in Cincinnati, OH, at the Episcopal Retirement Homes Parish Health Ministry. ERH serves seniors in southern and central Ohio through residential communities, affordable housing and in-home services. It’s going to be a wonderful program, and a very full weekend.  (For more info on this specific event, or other upcoming events, check out the Appearances page on this site.)

In other news, we also just got a few photos back from Eben’s closing keynote at Savannah Book Fest in Savannah, GA. I had the pleasure of working with the Book Fest team to plan Eben’s visit, and they really went out of their way to make sure all the presenters are well taken care of.

Here’s a peek at one of the photos from his talk, courtesy of Savannah photographer Fred Langley:

If you’ve gotten a chance to attend a book signing or see Eben speak, please feel free to leave a comment below.  It would be great to share some personal photos and stories from readers on the site.

  1. Dara,

Thanks for the updates on Dr. Alexander and keep them coming.

I just have a quick question. I thought I saw a section here on his website where we could submit questions to Dr. Alexander and if they were pertinent, he’d answer them. I can’t seem to find it anymore. If this is so, could you direct me to where it is located.

    Much Thanks,

    Michael A Williams

    • Dara says:

      Hi Michael,
You can post a question here, and I’ll try to compile a list of favorites for Dr Alexander to answer in the future. Alternatively, if your question is related to your own spiritually transformative experience, please share your story here.

      • Dara,

Thanks for replying. I’ve two questions: First, as Dr. Alexander has stated that his NDE was outside of the physical universe, does he think he was out of both dark mass and dark energy, or were they involved in his NDE?

Also, as the Transcendent is infinite, would he say that there are realms beyond even what he labels as the “Core Realm.” of his NDE?

I hope he has time to respond to these and the other questions people are asking here.

        Much Appreciation,

        Michael A Williams

      • Janis Cooper says:

After reading your book and your DVD – Conversations Beyond Proof of Heaven both of which I truly enjoyed and am very exited about, I have a couple of questions. As a neuroscientist who is trying to put science and spirituality together why do you think you (and millions of other people who have had NDEs) can have a memory of your NDE since memory comes from the brain. If the soul/spirit is totally independent from the brain then why would your brain remember this experience? And also because our brain does not allow us to have a memory of our past life either. Or is the memory of our past lives somewhere in the brain that we can’t access?

        • Hi, Janis,

I can’t speak for Dr. Alexander, obviously, and hope he response to your excellent question. Some neuroscientists don’t think memories are stored in the brain, but in a field or in consciousness. That the brain processes only “trigger” or recall the memory. Dr. Rudy Tanzi, neuroscientist at Harvard is among them. Check out his video in dialogue with Dr. Deepak Chopra on YouTube. Look up: “Memory and the Brain, Rudy Tanzi”

It would be appreciated if Dara would call this pertinent question to Dr. Alexander’s attention for his learned response. I’ sure he would have much more in-depth reply.

          Best Wishes.

Does Eben Alexander believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God?

  2. Jaime Molina says:

    Dr. Alexander,

I bought your book and I’m looking forward to the next one. I have a couple of questions and hope you can respond when you have a minute. First, during your visit to the other side you mention that you learned that we will re-encarnate and was wondering if this means that our soul will be born again in another body on this planet or in another world. Sencond you mentioned that you saw dogs and was wondering if any animals have souls and wether we may see our dogs in the afterlife. Lastly, will our families and close friends be together again even if we are to re-encarnate? I guess, I have a hard time understanding the dying process, but then being born again. Any help in clarifying these doubts will be much appreciated.

PS. I have talked to many people about your book.

    Thank you,

    Jaime in Houston, TX

    • Dara says:

Thanks for those great questions, Jaime. I’ll pass these along to Dr Alexander, and hope he’ll address them in a future post.

      • Janis Cooper says:

I, too, need very much to know what Dr. Alexander thinks about animals.

Animals, especially domesticated animals, exhibit numerous attributes some of which are love, hate, unselfishness, pride, jealousy, loyalty, body and verbal language, friendship, reasoning abilities, memory, foresight of consequences, and a sense of moral responsibility, all of which belong to the spirit and not the body. Animals posses knowledge, intellect, thoughts, dreaming abilities, physical and emotional feelings, and free will.

Animals possess intelligence. They have better moral values and skills than most people according to their own nature. Fidelity, and love, are one of the highest and strongest attributes of the soul, and is greatest in animals. Many people can honestly say that their companion animals are the ones that have truly taught them what love is really all about. I know I can say that. There is absolutely nothing like the unconditional love that our pets give us on this Earth. It has to come from Heaven.

Communication with animals has to be a spiritual thing, not physical. The eye cannot see without a soul’s presence. Every movement and sound they make is a result of messages to the brain that have nothing to do with their physiology. The soul is in the heart/brain/mind. Matter – cannot think or speak. Matter – cannot move without the spirit.

Thank you for attending to this issue that is so meaningful to so many pet parents. I have given you some of my own insights to ponder about animals that may assist you in your response if you did not personally experience much about animals in your own NDE.

        Thanks so much.

I had brain surgery about a year ago and was in hospital for 3 and 1/2 mo.
Read Dr. Alexander’s book with great interest. Many of my experiences
during time I stopped breathing for 4 1/2 hrs. were similar to what Dr.
Alexander expressed in his book. A riveting read for me personally. I too
stepped through the veil which I had described to my daughter as a curtain.

I am sure you are trying to be helpful but after studying metaphysics my entire life and having a little understanding of such matters I believe the writing of this book from a Drs. perspective with the actual science involved is Eben’s way . He is focusing his energy where it needs to be and at the very least stimulating discussions about consciousness. Running off in too many directions drains the energy needed to focus on the work and muddles the waters…

  4. Donna R says:

I am new to your site and I hope you have a daily blog started for us.
My question is ….Have you figured out what your job/purpose was on the other side. Did you get in touch with your agreement for this side. Have you attempted hypno regression. Have you gotten in touch with all of your gifts?

We all need to stick together to help spread the LOVE…read Sylvia Brown…It may jog your memeory for the agreements and jobs and people you agreed to work with here on this side.
I bet you are more psychic now. You may want to get in touch with Theresa Caputo….she can also support/guide you with your messages/agreements. There is a community of us able to connect and move forward, use it, we are waiting.

I believe it is time for the HIGHER ONES, such as yourself, to become prevalent now…. I just know we are suppose to resonate from the innate place…Im sure you know your soul guide is here with you…ask her to reveal more of the agreement/plan. She works on specifics.
I am here to help…this is an exciting time….
    all will be well……LOVE……

    Hi Dara,
My husband and I have just read the book Proof of Heaven from Dr. Alexander and it gives us real hope that my friend may recover from his coma. if you would forward this to Dr. Alexander and ask him if he can give us some advice about my friend’s situation. we have a very close friend who is also our doctor, (he is family doctor) who went into cardiac arrest on December 3rd, 2013. Right before his cardiac arrest, he must have known because he called 911, but by the time paramedics arrived, he was already unconscious, they could not revive him, and took him to the hospital but he went into coma, with brains dead, and has not waken up since. he is breathing on his own now, and have openned his eyes lots of time, but not fully, all of his other conditions are good, like blood pressure, pulses, etc…and he lơked like he is sleeping
we are living in Orange county of California, so if you please talk to Dr. Alexander, and Ms. Susan to give us some advices, because his wife and us feel that he is with us but somehow just cannot get out of his coma. if Dr. Alexander is interested, I will ask my doctor’s wife contact him directly. Thank you so much for your wonderful work and great compassion to people in tragedies.

    • Dara says:

Hi Kim, while Dr Alexander can’t offer any medical advice for someone who is not his patient, please know that his (and my) thoughts and prayers are with you and your doctor friend. Your friend is lucky to have you and your husband; you’ve read Dr Alexander’s book, so you know how crucial it was to his recovery to have friends and family sending him love and support while he was in coma.

  7. Bonnie Marie Mc' says:

Hello Dara, I hope I get to meet you and Dr. Alexander some day. If you get a chance, would you ask Dr. A. to explain the afterlife of animals and birds too. My husband and I feel and have felt love from our furry and feathery friends. I was elated when I read that Dr. Alexander saw dogs and butterflies on the other side of the veil. Thanks now and keep up the great work you are doing. B

    • Dara says:

Hi Bonnie, thanks for bringing this up. It’s a great question, and I’ll make a note of it for a future Q&A.

  8. Mary Donovan says:

Thanks Dr .Alexander for your book & for letting us b privy to your most sacred experiences. It deserves a re/reading.

  9. Theodora Tillman says:

Does Dr. Alexander have a DVD of his experience? I would really like to have one. Thank you. Theo

    • Dara says:

      Hi Theo,
There is a DVD included with the Deluxe Edition of PROOF OF HEAVEN (link that features footage with Dr Alexander discussing his experience and providing commentary on the book. Universal Pictures is also working on a film adaptation of the book. (I’ve mentally cast William Holden c. 1960, but am excited to see who they actually come up with!)

  10. Priscilla Davis says:

I just finished readying Dr. Eben Alexander’s book, Proof of Heaven. My bible says.” Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. We believe by faith and accept this free gift of salvation and then the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. I didn’t see where the Dr. mentioned this in his book. I accepted Jesus when I was about 14 years old and I never will forget the night I gave my heart to Jesus and to this day [I am now 74 yrs. old] and can remember the peace, love and joy that flooded my soul as soon as I accepted Jesus as my Lord. And within seconds I felt the presents of the Holy Spirit in my heart giving me peace, joy and love and it is still there ministering to me all the time. The bible states there is only one way to God and that is by accepting Jesus as your Lord. Jesus paid the price for my salvation on the Cross with His precious blood. The Roman’s didn’t murder Him, He laid his life down and paid for our sins so by accepting Him we would be free. He could have called 10,000 angels to free him, but it was His decision and His only, to die for my sin, so He took my place on that old rugged cross that day He died for me.

We sing a song that says, “I paid a debt He did not owe, I owed a debt I could not pay, Christ Jesus died on the cross and took my place….And now I sing a brand new song AMAZING GRACE, Christ Jesus paid the debt that I could never pay.

I just wanted to make this point, the bible says NO ONE WILL ENTER HEAVEN WHO HAS NOT ACCEPTED CHRIST AS THEIR SAVIOR. Thank you for reading this…I get wordy sometimes. Priscilla Davis, California

Amen!!! The bible says the truth shall set you free and indeed my sister in Christ you have spoken the truth may God bless you and use you for the goodness of his kingdom.
And to all fellow readers jesus is the way and only way to salvation except him as your Lord and saviour by saying the sinners prayer which goes,Lord Jesus I am a sinner I believe you are the son of God and died and rose again for me so that I may have everlasting life,Lord Jesus Walsh me and cleanse me,forgive me for my sins and make me a new creature in Christ,I believe from this day fourth I am born again in jesus Christ our Lord Amen!

  11. Amanda says:

I just finished listening to Proof of Heaven, I loved it, thank you! When Eben talked about the difference between his experience of the joy, bliss and unconditional love as opposed to the crazy delusional fantasy-internet-NASA/Soviet astronaut hallucinations/delusions he had after he first awakened from the coma, it strikes me as odd that he dismisses and names the latter as delusional and not real (kind of in the same way that he described NED’s before his coma). I would be curious to know if he has entertained the idea that those delusions are just as real but they are of another world or energy, maybe the “evil” part of the universal energy he mentioned, or a confused mixing of energies?; this does not take anything away from his experience, in fact, it makes it more cohesive in my eyes; that he experienced and learned that the dominant energy of the universe is the joy, bliss and unconditional love, and the small part of universal energy that is “evil” or not of love. I thought it was interesting when he mentioned that in his delusions after awaking, he talked about the internet and soviet astronauts….I just recently found out that in 1985, 6 Soviet astronauts were out in space and they all witnessed 7 huge angelic beings with magnificent colors and light who radiated unfathomable amounts of warmth, love, joy, peace…and all the astronauts saw the angels and they saw them twice! The first time it happened they stared at the angles for 10 minutes until they disappeared. The astronauts said the angels looked as if they knew a wonderful beautiful secret and they radiated love.
I see the delusions as a consciousness trying to come back to the material world and while doing so, the “evil” universal energies mixed up with the universal love, having a sort of confrontation or battle. A 3 way battle between the material realm and the 2 universal energies, trying to get balanced.
Just some thoughts, insights and questions after listening to the book. THank you so much for writing this book.

I have read your very thoughtful book Proof of Heaven and would like to send you results of my research and exper-iences which show existence of a separate Mind that straddles the physical and non-physical realms and backs up and explains the fundamentals of the NDE. The Hard Problem of Consciousness is explained plus the role of “Light” in all these matters. Also the connection bet. The Higgs boson and human spirit. If OK I need an address to send the short article which you may find of significant interest. Respectfully, Irv Rosenberg email airvr@comcast,net (92 yr old retired atty at law)

  13. kay cornellius says:

Dr. Alexander’s book kept me up late two nights and I finally finished it this morning. Along with its being an absorbing medical mystery, I was interested in your being adopted, as I was, being “chosen.” Istarted searching in earnest for my biological parwents when the first child of hazel and brown-eyed parents turned up with blue eyes. I was born to a 25-year-old mother whose job as a playground supervisor supported herself, divorced mother and a sister and children. My father was 19, a recent h.s. grad., in the depths of the Great Depression. Unable to keep me, my mother turned me over to the Tennessee Children’s Home Society, run by the infamous Georgia Tann. According to my adoption record, after putting a picture of three of her “available orphans” including me in the newspaper, my mother left a note for Miss Tann and then I was transferred to the Nashville Receiving Home where I smiled and held out my arms to the childless woman who adopted me and whom I will always think of as “Mother. Ms. Tann also clipped the engagement picture of my birth mother freom the same paper with a note, “”Note she is marrying the baby’s father.” I was nearly 3 then and they tried to find me but of course could not. They had two more daughters and my biological mother died at 58 ofleukemia induced by radiation for uterine cancer, so I never met her. With the help of adoption advocates in Memphis, I found my father after some dead ends when I was 60 and he was 80 and he said for years he had prayed to find me, then I found him. One sister was very cordial but the other told me to my face I should never have been born because “Mother had an uncle who was a doctor and he could have “taken care of it.” The most astounding thing happened after I found him. I had begun to write, and all of a sudden the floodgates opened and I was writing 3 short inspirational romances a year with relative ease. I had several nice visits with him and he met my children; I found out in Feb. of 2013 that he had died after hospice care since July, in Nov. of 2012, 9 mos. shy of being 100. In 2004 I underwent surgey to clear my right carotid artery; not all was removed and I had a stroke followed by more surgery, during which I nearly died. I was completely “out” wjile the vascular dr. removed a 6″ vein from my leg and bypassed the carotid with it.I have lost the use of my left hand so must now write very slowly with right hand only. About the time of my surgery Bill Clinton had open heart surgery and said he saw Hilary. I said I was glad I hadn’t seen her–it might have killed me for sure. Conservative Kay Cornelius

I have listened to the Proof of Heaven audio tapes many times and will continue. I hope to see Dr. Alexander in Sedona in April. His message has helped me immensely. I will also order and begin to use the mediation tapes. Thank you and Dr. Alexander for all the help. -Lou Poisson

  15. teri says:

could Dr. Alexander make a comment about the situation with earthly loved ones and their relationship in heaven? I have lost a deeply loved one who i believe I am having some points of contact with and I am curious about relationships in heaven. Please, any insight?
I was present at one of his presentations, but this subject wasn’t addressed.

    • Theresa Wollschlager says:

Hi Vickie, I have just finished reading Proof of Heaven and I also had several questions about this very thing at several times throughout Dr. Alexanders story. I also had an NDE during a Cardiac Arrest back in 1991. I am a Christian as well and although I believe his experience is absolutely authentic and has changed his life dramatically, I wonder if fear of representing himself to the secular world is preventing him from fully acknowledging that Jesus is the way , the truth and the life. In fact the only path to Heaven. That fact is not just Dogma, but reality.I watched his interview with Oprah, and of course she wanted to discredit him. I commend him for being courageous at least in standing up to her. If I could share my insight with him, I would ask him why does he think he was so moved while in church and especially at communion as he received the sacrament of the Eucharist. The answer is clear to me. When someone has an NDE, it is very challenging to stay grounded when “coming back” to live our journey out here on Earth. An individual that has had an NDE is also extremely spiritually vulnerable and open to all sorts of attacks from the enemy, who is also very real. Given the comments Dr. Alexander made in his book about the “Big Bang”; that he finds comfort in a New Age method of meditation called Hemi-Sync ;and that he does not recognize that the Holy Spirit lives within him (not in every temple, mosque or other religion as he alludes to)I think he is still on a journey to finding a personal relationship with Christ, as we are all on different paths to find Him. We can pray for Dr. Alexander to discover full truth instead of judging him. When you say you are “confused”, I believe that reflects exactly what Dr. Alexander may be on some levels.

  16. Vickie Olson says:

Being a Christian I was confused because Dr. Alexander seems to indicate that whatever God you serve is okay. I believe Jesus is God and there is no other. What does he say about Jesus and what about Hell? He talks about evil but doesn’t say what the result of evil is.

  17. david says:

In response to VickieOlson, Dr. Alexander said that whatever separates the various religions, one from the others, is not God’s truth. Apparently your religion has such a teaching. Truth cannot be subdivided. If your religion is ‘the Truth’ it leaves you with a whole lot of souls to be praying for.

  18. James Ganann says:

Dr. Alexander, thank you for the book. I found it fascinating. I have several questions, but hopefully you may be able to answer at least one. In your research into NDE’s after your own experience, were there accounts that stood out to you as fraudulent or mistaken brain phenomenon? If so, what led you to believe so?

    Thank you kindly.

  19. Joe Read says:

    Dear Dara -

Here’s an easy question. I notice that you and Dr. Alexander consistently refer to “being in coma” rather than “being in A coma.” Is this a regional thing? Sounds as awkward as me saying “I have fever.”

    Thanks for any clarification.

  20. MBB says:

Dr. Alexander’s book has deeply influenced my life for a couple of years. I had the opportunity of hearing his speaking May 2013. At that time, he mentioned that his second book about his experiences at the Core would be out. I got impression it was to be done last fall and have spent 2014 on and off searching for any mention of its release. When is it estimated to be published?

    • Dara says:

      Hi MBB,
Thanks for this. Eben has not published any book between his first book, Proof of Heaven (October 2012), and his second book Map of Heaven (due out October 2014). Map of Heaven is a broader discussion of how Eben researched and contextualized his experience through the teachings and stories of others, and you can learn more about the book on the publisher’s website, here.

  21. John Riingen says:

I think the case of Dr. Alexander can be explained scientifically, that is, he didn’t die, and that those doctors who helped him, together with the loving community that took vigil around him, had all helped for Dr. Alexander to regain his consciousness. In his book, Proof of Heaven, he seem to have been in heaven, met people he knew which convinced him there is a place called heaven. I think such observation, or “conviction” is part of his cultural and religious upbringing/nurturing. He also mentioned people prayed for him, including his pastor who believed in the power of prayer. I think the outcome of Dr. Alexander’s case could have been different had he actually died. If he actually died, I believe no amount of prayer could have helped him.

  22. Glori Klyne says:

While asleep and waiting for my daughter to call me to wake me up one morning, as we had plans to go shopping , I had a dream that she was having a heated argument with my 10 year old grandson – she was standing in front of their kitchen island and urging him to hurry up and drink his milk so that she could drop him and his brother off at school, before calling me. He kept insisting that he wouldn’t drink his milk because there was a hair in it – my daughter kept telling him it wasn’t a hair, but just scum that forms when you leave the milk in a glass, in the fridge, without covering it.
When I awoke at 8:45, wondering why my daughter hadn’t called me at 8:30 as planned, I recalled my dream and shook my head at the thought of the silliness of it. A few minutes later the phone rang and my daughter apologized for not calling sooner – she said she had been late dropping the boys off because she had wasted time arguing with her son, who kept insisting he couldn’t drink his milk because there was a hair in it!

How do you explain an event taking place, while I am in my bed, twenty miles away, dreaming about it, at the same time as it is going on? Coincidence? Or does your spirit leave your body and travel, while you are asleep?

  23. Gail McBride says:

Do you believe in the Bible? If so, do you believe it is the inerrant WORD of God? I believe it is and it says in John 3:5, You must be born again, in other words, give God your whole life to direct your paths, realize He is the one who healed you , also John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only son, that whosoever believeth in him would have eternal life. Also John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE, NO man comes to the Father, except through me Jesus. I think God gave you this miracle of healing to give him the credit and live your life completely for him, Proverbs 3:5&6 is so wonderful, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths. God gave you a glimpse of heaven, please make sure you give him the credit and put him first in your life and you will see heaven again. There is a hell and unless we accept Jesus, we will go to hell. You have been very blessed to have been given this glimpse of heaven. You have an amazing story, but I think you leave out the most important theme, God healed you and he needs to receive the glory for it.

I read Dr Alexander’s book also, I believe God did give him a glimpse of heaven, but my concern for him, he doesn’t speak about the Bible which is the WORD of GOD, In John 14, Jesus says “I am the way, the truth & the light, NO man comes to the Father, except by me, meaning Jesus. In John 3, Jesus said you must be born again, which means to give your whole life to Jesus and let him direct your path. He constantly speaks of conscientiousness, it is the soul that goes to heaven, but if a person does not accept Jesus as savior, that person will go to hell, The bible speaks clearly there is a heaven and hell. I am also concerned that he may be having some of the same ideas of Anita Moorjani who was very blessed, healed and also saw a glimpse of heaven, but she doesn’t give Jesus credit for healing her, she is so into herself, she believes there are many ways to God, but Jesus clearly says in the Bible, there is only one way and that is through him. All of us needs a personal relationship with Jesus. I just hope Eben and Anita will accept the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal himself to them, than when they die, they will be sure of heaven. Satan is a deceiver and is telling them that everyone will go to heaven, this is not true, it is very plain in the Bible, there is a heaven and hell, read about the poor man and the rich man, the rich man went to hell and could see the poor man in heaven and asked him to come and drop water on his tongue because he was burning in fire. I enjoyed Eben’s book, I just want to make sure he is on the right path.

    • Dina says:

I truly agree with Gail McBride. I was actually disturbed by Eben’s story where there was no mention of Jesus at all.

  24. sceptic says:

His journey starts in hell, he was deceived by demons. “People ask me if it was hell or purgatory.(…) Occasionally there would be some ugly kind of animal face that would boil up out of the mud and there would be some roar, or chant, or screech and then it would go back in but it was very unresponsive. After awhile it seemed to be very kind of suffocating. It was in a sense kind of frustrating and it was really quite disgusting to be here.” was he then rescued from hell or deceived ? DECEIVED I think : “There is nothing you can do wrong” SIN is wrong, remember. He says nothing can separate you from God, remember SIN separates you. There is also a hell. Even if you believe to Eben and not to Christianity you should remember that he writes about hell also.

    • Dara says:

Hi Skeptic, I would encourage you to read or watch some of the interviews Dr. Alexander has given. He’s clarified in multiple places that the message “there is nothing you can do wrong” was specific to where he was when he received the message–in other words, it is impossible for someone who is in close contact with the Creator in Heaven to do wrong. Certainly Eben has never said that sin or crime or wrongdoing is impossible in our daily lives. I understand how you might have been startled if you’d read it the second way!

  25. Laurie O'Hara says:

Hello fellow spirits. I would love to have Dr. Alexander meet with Pope Francis. The time of enlightenment is upon us all. EVERYWHERE in this Earthly realm. BTW I am a practicing Catholic.

  26. Laurie O'Hara says:

Soul, Spirit, Mind. “Connectedness”. LOVE. I’m not the only person who feels it. My spirit is replenished by the Holy Eucharist, the living Jesus, his True body, True blood, His tru soul and divinity. May God bless you and keep you well in your quest for the truth of all time and space. OM.

    • L Rager says:

I too am a strong believer in Jesus Christ as the way to Heaven according to God’s word the Bible..”Jesus says..I am the way the truth and the life…no one comes to the Father but by me.” His book was very confusing to me because of a lack of Jesus and God’s word and I am concerned will deceive many who neglect to receive Jesus and die with out Him…Death is final..there is no turning back.

  27. Kristy says:

I would like to ask if Dr. Alexander feels like the Bible is the inspired word, that contains the answers we need, does it have a deeper, metaphysical meaning, and what religion does he feel is closest to the whole truth? I am having a hard time finding a denomination I feel answers all the questions. I don’t want to discard Jesus but feel like there is so much deeper knowledge missing in the Bible, that Jesus and others in the Bible knew? What does he think about Kabbalahism, Gnosticism, or New Thought teachers, such as Dr. Joseph Murphy? Also, how does he explain the Old Testament God who wanted David, Moses, etc. to fight wars, kill, etc. He seems so vengeful than the God in the New Testament. Just a lot of questions/confusion. I so want to be on the right path and find a church home, I can fully believe in.

    • Bozenna Lloyd says:

Whenever one of my children is asking me: “Mam, in what should I believe in?”. My answer is always the same:

“Sort out your feelings and you’ll find out in what you believe in.
It doesn’t matter how long you are going to sort them out, keep sorting. I hope one day you you’ll be certain.”

As for myself, I’m still sorting them out from time to time!

Watch Dr, Ravi zaccharias! He is the greatest most intellectual apologists of our time , he will really make you think in a deep and powerful way and question in the right direction ,I really hope you get to check him out, God bless you
P.s. Our feelings shouldn’t be what mainly directs someone’s ways, just because you feel something doesn’t mean that feeling is always right , as humans we all have many bad feelings wether timid or strong.
Emotions are related to the heart, one must cure the heart in order to contribute to all good virtues, and the one who has conceived the heart can only be the one who can cure it.. Seek him

  28. Beloved says:

John 14:6New American Standard Bible (NASB)

6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

That is as pure and clear as it gets. Jesus is heaven in this world, and the one to come. It’s all in Him, b/c it’s all about Him, and once you know Him, you get why it should/must be.

Most of my life I have been looking to talk to someone that has had a NDE. I had a NDE at 25 and at that time no one knew what I was talking about. Mine was very different and at the same time there are a lot of similarities.
I would love to tell my story. After all these years it would be nice to talk to someone that just might understand what I experienced.

I am concerned that people may choose his path thinking it is the way to heaven. It is not. See what the Bible says. Don’t risk your eternity . Jesus is the only way.

Eben Alexander, M.D.

Dr. Alexander, a renowned academic neurosurgeon, spent over three decades honing his scientific worldview. He thought he knew how the brain and mind worked. A transcendental Near-Death Experience (NDE), in which he was driven to the brink of death and spent a week deep in coma from an inexplicable brain infection, changed all of that – completely!
